*This post is not sponsored/promoted by Quest in any way, I’m just a true fan of their brand, and especially their protein bars. So, these are the Best Quest Bar Flavors
As a gym rat, protein is something I take very seriously. For me to buy anything labeled “high protein”, it has to have at least 1 gram of protein for every 10 calories, and it also can’t taste like crap. When it comes to protein bars, it’s best to only have them when you need that extra protein. You can get higher quality protein from other sources, my favorites being chicken, or other lean meats, and greek yogurt.

But, when you do need a protein bar, you’ve gotta make sure it’s a good one. Unfortunately many protein bars on the market can’t even be considered high protein (at least using the 1g:10cals ratio), and a lot of the ones that can, are absolute trash when it comes to flavor. Quest bar is not one of those bars. They have a pretty good protein ratio, averaging 20g with only 180cals (just over the 1 to 10 base). Plus most of their flavors taste phenominal. In fact, I can’t say I’ve tried a flavor that I didn’t like.
Another thing quest got right is the texture on their bars. It’s not too gritty, but it’s not too chewy either. The best way I can describe it is like a cosmic brownie mixed with a tootsie roll. I know that sounds weird, but it’s really good. Like I said, I haven’t had a quest bar I didn’t like, but there are definately a few flavors I prefer over all the others. So, these are the 5 best quest bar flavors, from a gym rat.
Best Quest Bar Flavors
5. Cookies and Creme
I’ve never really been a fan of Cookies and Creme, especially when it came to protein bars. But this one really blew me away.
It has plenty of cookies in it, along with white chocolate chunks which really give it that cookies and creme flavor. Not to mention the formula for the bar itself is really good! Not too sweet, but just perfect enough to compliment the bits of cookies and creme in it.
I will admit, this bar is a little dry compared to the other quest bars, probably due to the cookies. But it makes up for that with the delicious flavor, and awesome macros at 21 grams of protein, and 190 calories.

4. Caramel Chocolate Chunk
Somehow they made a protein bar with actual caramel and chocolate chuncks in it. Definately one of the best Quest bar flavors. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the bar for you. It tastes like straight candy!
Before opening the bar, I figured it would be a chocolate bar with little nuggets of caramel in it. But actually, it’s a vanilla (or I think it’s vanilla) bar with thick chocolate chunks, and gooey caremel swirls all throughout it.

3. S’mores
Let’s be honest, s’mores flavored things are never good. But Quest did a great job with this one. It’s a marshmallow bar with graham cracker pieces and chocolate chunks spread all throughout it.
I bought this one as a last resort, and then it became my favorite flavor for a while. It doesn’t necessarily taste exactly like a S’more, but that’s okay, whatever it tastes like, it’s amazing!

2. Mint Chocolate Chunk
This one really earned it’s spot as one of the best quest bar flavors. If I wasn’t so devoted to my number 1, this one would have beat all the others out of the park!
The picture on the box doesn’t lie when it tells you this tastes like a mint chip ice cream sandwitch. They got the flavor spot on. I like to keep this bar in the fridge, just to give it that extra ice creamy feel, but that’s definately not a must.
Another way you could describe it is as a thin mint cookie mixed with mint chocolate chunks. As a mint chip snob, this bar blew me away. With 20 grams of protein and 180 calories, I 100% recomend trying it.

1. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
Finally, we made it to the best flavor out there. Regular cookie dough is good, but Quest’s oatmeal chocolate chip is seriously on another level! I figured it would just be the cookie dough bar with some oats thrown in, but it’s actually it’s own complete flavor.
This bar has a sweet, cinnamony base, with lots of oats and chocolate chunks mixed into it. The texture is so soft, not too chewy or gritty at all. If you like oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, you’ll LOVE this bar. Seriously, I love so many of the other flavors, but nothing comes close to this one.

Honorable mentions:
- Birthday cake: I was skeptical when I bought this one because I’m not really a birthday cake fan. But this one was very close to being one of the best Quest bar flavors. It’s really soft inside, and it has just a little layer of “frosting” (more like white chocolate if you ask me) all around the outside. Tastes super good, and has great macros at 21 grams of protein for 180 calories.

- White Chocolate Raspberry: I realize all the bars on this list are chocolatey, but Quest has some really great fruity options too. I’m more of a chocolate fan, but I really liked the white chocolate raspberry too. You can definately tast the raspberry in it, and it even has little raspberry pieces. Plus, the white chocolate compliments the flavor so well, and adds that smooth, melt in your mouth texture. Pretty good macros too at 20 grams of protein for 190 calories.

- Chocolate Peanut Butter: This one was very close to making the top 5 list. Amazing peanut butter flavor that actually tastes like peanut butter, unlike some of the fake flavor protein foods out there. The only reason this one didn’t make the list is beause it’s macros aren’t quite as good as most of the other bars at 20 grams of protein, but with 200 calories.

Final thoughts:
It’s hard to say for sure which bars really are the best because they’re all so different. Each bar has it’s own unique flavor, so there really is something here for everyone.
Quest has really done a great job with their protein bars, so once you find a flavor you enjoy, it’s hard to go back to other brands. I know Quest is a little more on the expensive side, and there are some good cheaper options, but honestly, I think these bars are worth the extra cost.
If I’m ever looking for a treat, I often go for a Quest bar. Not just cause it’s healthier than other treats, but because it’s just good.
Overall this brand has done an amazing job with their formulas, I highly recommend you try them if you’re looking for a good protein bar.
